918 Spyder Hybrid from Porsche

The new Porsche 918 Spyder is the new line from the company, offering sport car design with mid-engine ability. It’s another hybrid line from Porsche with very efficient feature with low emission gas to increase the hybrid technology. The prototype already shows the combination of race technology with electronic ability.


The engine only consumes 3 liter of fuel capable to run about 100 kilometers and the emission gas is only about 70 gr from the 3 liter fuel. The engine is V8 of 3.4 liter system, along with 7 speed transmissions. The electric motors are located in front and the rear axle. The compact city car can reach 100 km under 3.2 seconds. The 918 Spyder is one of the 3 other Porsche hybrid models: Cayene S Hybrid SUV with hybrid drive system, 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car with electronic drive on the front axle and flywheel mass, and this 918 Spyder.


The car uses kinetic energy which is able to change to electric energy when the brake is applied. The steering wheel has 4 modes: E-Drive for electric power, Hybrid Mode uses both electric system and combustion engine, Sport Hybrid also uses both systems but with better performance, and Race Hybrid mode.

Mercedes-Benz is having a plan to make several crucial changes for their C-Class sedan and the Estate line. It’s said that the company has decided to improve and developed some features that they’re think could be more excellent in order to keep the sales number high. The design might retain the same luxurious and comfy image, only with better features and model.
